The journey begins in Casablanca and travels south to Marrakech, where you spend time discovering one of Morocco's most famous cities. A full day in Marrakech gives you time to explore the old medina, traditional markets, historic areas and the atmosphere of the city before continuing toward southern Morocco.
From Marrakech, cross the High Atlas Mountains and travel through Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate before reaching the Dades Valley. The landscape changes quickly as busy cities give way to mountain roads, traditional villages and wide valleys.
Continue through Todra Gorges toward Merzouga, where the golden Erg Chebbi dunes mark the beginning of your Sahara experience. Ride a camel across the dunes, enjoy the desert sunset and spend the night at a Sahara camp.
After leaving Merzouga, travel north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt and the Middle Atlas Mountains before arriving in Fes. You then have a full day to discover the historic city before returning to Casablanca.
This seven-day Morocco itinerary is designed for travelers who want a balanced journey rather than a quick desert trip. It combines time in Marrakech and Fes with the Sahara, mountain scenery and some of southern Morocco's most memorable landscapes.

Day 1
Your 7-day Sahara tour from Casablanca begins with pickup in Casablanca.
Meet your driver and leave Morocco's Atlantic coast as you begin the journey south toward Marrakech.
The first day is designed to be simple and comfortable. Instead of adding several sightseeing stops, the main goal is to reach Marrakech with enough time to settle into your accommodation and prepare for the days ahead.
Depending on your pickup time, you may have some free time after arrival to walk around the city, enjoy a meal or experience the evening atmosphere.
Marrakech will be your base for the first two nights of the journey, allowing you to explore the city properly the following day.

Day 2
Today is dedicated to Marrakech, giving you time to experience the city without needing to continue driving to another destination.
Explore the historic medina, where narrow streets lead through traditional markets, workshops and old neighborhoods.
Take time to discover the city's architecture, public squares and local atmosphere. Depending on your interests, you can also visit gardens, historic buildings or quieter areas outside the busiest parts of the medina.
Having a full day in Marrakech makes this itinerary different from shorter desert tours that leave the city soon after arrival.
You can explore at your own pace and choose the places that interest you most.
Return to your accommodation for a second night in Marrakech.

Day 3
After breakfast, leave Marrakech and begin the journey toward southern Morocco.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains along a scenic road surrounded by mountain peaks, valleys and traditional villages. Stops can be made along the way to enjoy the views and take photos.
Continue toward Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village known for its traditional earthen architecture.
Take time to explore the area before continuing toward Ouarzazate.
From Ouarzazate, travel farther into southern Morocco as the scenery changes between dry mountains, palm-filled areas and wide open valleys.
Continue toward the Dades Valley and arrive later in the day.
Enjoy dinner and spend the third night of your journey in the Dades area.

Day 4
After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and continue your journey toward the Sahara.
Travel through the landscapes of southeastern Morocco before reaching Todra Gorges.
Take time to walk between the high canyon walls and enjoy the natural surroundings. The dramatic cliffs make Todra one of the most distinctive stops on the road to the desert.
Continue toward Merzouga as the rocky landscapes gradually become more open and the Erg Chebbi dunes begin to appear.
In the late afternoon, prepare for your camel ride into the Sahara.
Ride across the golden dunes and enjoy the quiet desert atmosphere as the sun begins to set.
After sunset, continue to your desert camp.
Enjoy dinner and spend the night surrounded by the Sahara dunes.

Day 5
Start the morning in the peaceful Sahara Desert.
If you wish, wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before returning to the camp for breakfast.
After leaving Merzouga, begin the journey north toward Fes.
Travel through the Ziz Valley, where long stretches of palm trees and mountain scenery create a strong contrast with the open desert.
Continue toward Midelt and then into the Middle Atlas Mountains.
As you travel north, the landscape changes again. Dry desert scenery gives way to mountains, forests and cooler surroundings.
Continue through the Ifrane area before reaching Fes later in the day.
Check into your accommodation and enjoy a relaxed evening before exploring the city the following day.

Today is dedicated to Fes, one of Morocco's oldest and most important cultural cities.

Fes is known for its crafts, architecture and strong cultural traditions. Spending a full day here gives you enough time to experience the city without immediately continuing to the next destination.
Depending on your interests, you can explore traditional craft areas, viewpoints, historic sites and different parts of the old city.
The day can be planned at a comfortable pace, with time for breaks and personal exploration.
Return to your accommodation for a second night in Fes.

After breakfast, leave Fes and begin the final journey back to Casablanca.
