Tour Overview
Your Morocco journey
Experience several different sides of Morocco on this private 12-day Morocco tour, from northern cities and mountain landscapes to the Sahara Desert, Marrakech and the Atlantic coast.
Your journey begins in Casablanca before traveling north through Rabat to Tangier. From the coast, continue toward Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, where blue-painted streets, small squares and a relaxed medina offer a very different atmosphere from Morocco's larger cities.
The route then continues to Fes. Two nights in the city give you a full day to discover its historic medina, traditional markets, craft areas and old neighborhoods before traveling south.
From Fes, cross the Middle Atlas Mountains through Ifrane and Midelt. The scenery changes throughout the day as green mountain landscapes gradually give way to the palm-filled Ziz Valley and the dry surroundings of southeastern Morocco.
Arrive in Merzouga beside the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the first night in the desert area. The following day gives you time to experience more of the Sahara before riding a camel across the dunes, watching the sunset and spending the night at a desert camp.
Your 12-day Morocco itinerary then continues west through Rissani, Todra Gorges and the Dades Valley. Travel through southern Morocco toward Ouarzazate and visit Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.
A full day in Marrakech allows you to explore the historic medina, traditional souks and other parts of the city without another long drive the same day.
The final stage of the journey takes you to Essaouira. Spend time beside the Atlantic Ocean before returning to Casablanca on the last day.
This Morocco itinerary of 12 days is designed for travelers who want a varied private journey without trying to move through every destination too quickly. It combines culture, northern Morocco, mountain scenery, the Sahara, Marrakech and the coast in one Grand Morocco Adventure.
